Oceantech Design has been at the forefront of C.K.D. (Computer Kit Design) Vessel Construction for a number of years and has developed an extensive range of designs on offer to the professional boat building industry in Australia and Overseas. With demand high for this method of construction we have also made a substantial investment in a processing facility utilising CNC Router technology to provide unparalleled quality and service to our customers and offer significant advantages in our C.K.D. system over our competitors who all use sub-contract facilities or plasma cutting technology.

Our range of vessels is extensive and can be customised to suit the client’s requirements or alternatively design and develop from the ground up a vessel to suit the required specifications including the complete C.K.D. package. The range includes;

 

 

 

 

An Oceantech Kit System is a highly advanced computer generated system of aluminium boat building. Each design from 4 – 50 metres is meticulously created using advanced hull form modelling and analysis software.

 

The vessels internal structure, superstructure and external plating are modelled in 3D with full detail then converted and expanded into 2D parts that are  “nested” tightly in a plate of aluminium to reduce wastage. 

 

The plates are then CNC Router cut and marked using our industry leading in house large format CNC Flat-bed Routers to produce parts that are unsurpassed in dimensional accuracy and quality.

 

Each KIT SYSTEM comprises all the materials and parts pre cut and marked that are required to construct the hull and superstructure of the vessel, all parts are then packaged and distributed world wide with high quality documentation to assist you in the construction of the vessel.

 

Oceantech also can provide the builder with assistance in specification and supply of all equipment to be fitted to the vessel as well as provision of personnel highly skilled in the construction of the KIT SYSTEM/
